BOOK REVIEW- PAPER TOWNS

TITLE:  Paper Towns
AUTHOR: John Green
PUBLISHER:  Bloomsbury Childrens
AGE GROUP: 13+
RATING:  3.5/5

Paper Towns takes place in Orlando, in a place called Jefferson Park. Quentin Jacobsen and Margo Roth Spiegelman are neighbours, and the first part of the book is when they both make a shocking discovery together, when just innocently riding their bikes...

The novel then goes forward in time, where both Quentin and Margo have considerably grown apart. Margo has seemed to have swiftly forgotten Quentin, but he still thinks about Margo all the time. What could have happened between both of them if they hadn't grown apart? One night, Quentin and Margo suddenly meet unexpectedly- and Margo convinces Quentin to go out in the dead of night with her, and take revenge on people who Margo thinks have hurt her. While they go and commit revenge by performing pranks to others, Margo explains to Quentin that she believes that their town is a "paper town," describing it as fake and false. Once the nights adventures is over, Quentin is pleased to have started to become friendly with Margo again- wondering if it will become something else...

But, what happens when Margo drifts away, leaving Quentin to try to find her. What will Quentin do when he discovers something that may lead him to Margo, but it isn't quite as simple as he thinks.

Paper Towns is a story full of love, passion and mystery. Once again, John Green has excellently developed his characters- with complex personalities. I rate this book 3.5/5 hoots, it can be quite hard to follow the plot. However, this book is a great read if you are a fan of John Green!
