BOOK REVIEW- MOCKINGJAY

TITLE:  The Hunger Games- Mockingjay
AUTHOR: Suzanne Collins
PUBLISHER:  Scholastic
AGE GROUP: 12+
RATING: 5/5

Katniss, Prim and others try to settle in the life of being in District 13, but Katniss agrees to become the "Mockingjay" for District 13, but only on the condition that President Coin allows immunity for the other Hunger Games victors, and gives Katniss the right to kill President Snow... Will the Mockingjay plan work?

All the rebels propose theories to over throw the Capitol- suddenly finding themselves in the mist of many battles and fights. But, when an unexpected event happens in the capitol, it leaves lots reeling... What will happen when Katniss and her peers have to complete a mission that could make or break the Districts?

The imagery was phenomenal in Mockingjay, it made me feel like I was watching the action from afar- sat in my own little bubble. I could feel myself wincing if  any of my favourite characters were having a near death experience. The connection between Katniss and Peter was portrayed beautifully; Suzanne Collins is a very passionate writer; each passage written in the most amazing way possible. Any reader would build a strong connection with any character- and instantly feel any pain they were going through. All three books in the Hunger Games series makes you feel you are on an adventure- and a writer has to have skill to make you feel like that. I rate it 5/5 hoots, a book that will make your heart beat when your reading it- especially in the fast pace action parts.
