DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT- BOOK REVIEW

TITLE: Don't even think about it
AUTHOR: Sarah Mlynowski
PUBLISHER: Orchard Books
AGE GROUP: 13+
RATING: 5/5

This book is one of those where you think, "I wish I had thought of that!" It is set in Tribeca, Manhattan, in a High School. One of the tenth grade homerooms goes to get flu injections, and they give them an amazing power- telepathy! Some people don't realise at first, and some people get the power slightly later than others. Tess  can finally find out if her best friend Teddy, likes her like she likes him. Mackenzie has a big secret to hide... But how will she keep it to herself, when she has a bunch of people tuning into to her thoughts?

The group who has this power hold many meetings. Some of them want to keep the new, special power to themselves, but others want to tell someone, who will be able to help them. Will people use it to their advantage? People can hear what their parents really think of them, they can correct their mistakes when they are on a date, they can break up with their boyfriends before they break up with them. Pi, who is the leader of the group, is the second smartest person in her grade, could she be the first? What happens when all the secrets spill out, and people start to become suspicious of the bunch of teenagers?

I love how this book flows and the plot is unexpected, which is always good! The characters are very thought out, I loved Olivia and Tess. This book is so original- the blurb caught my attention in the bookshop. The cover was also very visually appealing. Overall, I would give this book 5/5 hoots. The characters and writing are top notch. It is a 100% reccomended read! I can't wait to read more of Sarah Mlynowski!
