HUNGER- BOOK REVIEW

TITLE: HUNGER
AUTHOR: Michael Grant
PUBLISHER: HarperCollins
AGE GROUP: 14+
RATING: 4.5/5

This is the second book in the GONE series. Once again I picked it up, intending to read a few
chapters, and I read half the book! Hunger is taking over the F.A.Y.Z, more people are developing strange powers...

Sam and Astrid have to run the town, making sure no problems and issues arise. But this time, they can't stop the disputes going on. There is a massive divide between, 'freaks' and 'normals'. There is no food left; so people are going crazy; with the lack of hunger.

Meanwhile at the power plant; the Coates kids are planning an attack. Caine is having strange dreams, about the darkness. So is Lana, (the healer), and Little Pete, (Astrid's younger brother.) Orsay, is happily reading into everyone's dreams. They are trying to take down all the Perdido beach kids. Everyone is going down to the mine, to find and kill the darkness... Will they do it?

This book is fast pace, and fantastically thrilling. My eyes were glued to the pages. Be prepared for dramatic deaths and cunning attacks! I think each of the books in the series are getting better and better! It is a fantastic read for any type of teenager/young adult. I rate it 4.5 hoots out of 5 hoots! The book was quite long, and did go on at the end. That is the only thing that I didn't like! Overall a fantastic read. Michael Grant really weaves the plot and ties the characters in very well!
